The small town of Remington is located in Faquier county Virginia at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Remington offers unique shopping for collectibles, art, jewelry, along with local restaurants. The town is a Civil War historic site and many landmarks can be seen by car or bicycle route throughout town.


History of Remington VA

The town of Remington was a transportation hub as a commercial port on the Rappahanock Canal, and later turned into a stop for the Orange and Alexandria Railroad called Rappahanock Station.

Certain well known Civil War engagements that took place in Remington or outside of town are the Battle of Kelly’s Ford, The Raid at Rappahanock Station, and the Battle of Brandy Station, the largest cavalry engagement in American History.
