The town of Tazewell is located in Claiborne county on the northern slope of Wallen Ridge in the East Tennessee Blue Ridge Mountains. Tazewell is the county seat of Claiborne county and the town is named after Henry Tazewell from Virginia. When Visiting Tazewell TN there are must see attractions such as teh Cumberland Mountain Music Show, Little Congress Bicycle Museum, Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum, Powell River Blueway Trail, Norris Lake Rentals, Tazewell Speedway, Woodlake Golf Course, Haymaker Farms Stables, Cumberland Gap Tunnel, Historic Rose Golf Station, and the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park.

History of Tazewell TN

in 1750 Dr. Thomas Walker publicized the Cumberland Gap area bringing hunters to Claiborne county. The land belonged to the Cherokee and Shawnee Indian Tribes.
