We are within walking distance of historic downtown Cumberland to enjoy local restaurants and shops, the art district, the C&O bike path, The Great Allegany Passage bike trail and the Western MD Scenic Railroad.

Experience the renaissance of Cumberland with us. Just two blocks from the Downtown Cumberland pedestrian mall, filled with cafés restaurants and shops, Decatur Street is filled with the energy of transformation. Our Inn is casual and comfortable. A second story porch overlooks a fantastic view of the city and the comings and goings of the trains. It’s the perfect spot for sipping that first cup of fresh-brewed coffee in the morning or winding down your day as you enjoy your favorite adult beverage (or two). Our rooms are large and spacious. Our bathtubs are ideal for soaking after your busy day. Our beds are Serta® pillow-tops; a guarantee for the best night’s sleep.

We prepare a full-sized breakfast described as one of the best on the trail. Some favorites on the menu include challah French toast, apple crisp, fresh fruit, the list goes on. Savor the flavor of our fresh ground Nicaraguan French Roast coffee. We serve Community Tee, shipped directly from New Orleans. We are happy to accommodate your special dietary requests. As a local tour guide, owning both Mountain Getaway Tours and Mountainside Bike Tours (http://www.mountainsidebiketours.us), I can provide for you as much information (or as little) about our town’s history, economics and hopes for the future. We can package your visit whether it’s biking (rentals available), hiking, golf, history, theatre, special events/festivals, a ride on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, the arts or just relaxing; you can trust our suggestions. I am more than happy to provide a complimentary walking/driving tour of our historic city…just ask.

Historic Town Hill Hotel B&B is located in the scenic mountains of western Maryland. Originally built in early 1916 as a fruit stand, by 1920, it had become a bustling restaurant and hotel. Town Hill was “the first tourist hotel built in the state of Maryland to accommodate the automobile traveler.” Its scenic overlook with an amazing view of three states and seven counties soon became known as the “Beauty Spot of Maryland.” Even after extensive remodeling, the Inn still retains the look of yesteryear with its 10 foot ceilings, original woodwork, and furnishings.
